Caroline Bald

Registered Social Worker and Academic at the University of Essex

Caroline Bald is a registered social worker and academic the University of Essex where she teaches critical and human rights to social work students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

She qualified from University of Glasgow in 1999 before having a twenty-year career in criminal justice social work with adults and older teenagers. Her research interests are inclusive curricula, risk management and the collateral consequences of criminal records.

Caroline has contributed to a number of publications and presented at national and international conferences on inclusive social work education, brain injury social work and criminology.

As well as being BISWG trustee, Caroline is a member of INSWABI and the ABI Justice Network.
