Caroline says of Heads Together: 'I am excited to be part of a team focusing on developing brain injury social work education and practice. I am grateful to the NIHR for recognising the value of this project. I have worked closely with our experts by experience governance group, been surveying academics about pre-qualifying social work curricula and interviewing social work managers and commissioners. Most recently I co-ordinated the showing of Making Headway, a play about brain injury produced by Headway Essex and Packing Shed Theatre, to an interdisciplinary group of students with tailored workshops. I am in no doubt Heads Together is already making an impact on knowledge, skills and practice when working with brain injury. Repeating all social workers are brain injury social workers we are confident we will not only raise awareness but will gather and co-create a repository of practice guidance and tools so keenly needed.'
